I recently was able to try some of Laid Brands Hair Care products. First off, let me say that I love the name of this company. I also love their logo! Before I start the review let me tell you some information about Laid and their products.

My opinion:

I received Laid Brand’s Luscious Locks Shampoo and Conditioner, No More Headaches Hair Spray, Mo’ Rockin’ Oil, and Straight Kinky Multi-Purpose Spray from their women’s line. I also Received their men’s Dirty Clean 2-in-1 Shampoo and Body Wash.

I love their Shampoo and Conditioner! They not only smell great but work great too. I was very surprised because they are sulfate and paraben free. They also have Laid Brand’s special PHEROTTRACTION™ in the mix, so you can get the extra attention you’ve been searching for.

If you are prone to frizzy hair that tangles the moment you get out of the shower, then their Straight Kinky Spray is perfect for you. It is a leave in conditioner that helps detangle hair, protects it from heat, protects color, and helps prevent frizz. The Mo’ Rockin’ Oil is great if you have frizzy or damaged hair. It controls frizz and helps repair your hair at the same time. The No More Headaches Spray is great for those of us that have a different hairstyle everyday. You can use it for a light hold, or you can use it when you don’t want your hair to budge. Either way you’re covered. Best part about these products is that they are all sulfate and paraben free, and all contain PHEROTTRACTION™.

My favorite out of all of the products I received is the PHEROTTRACTION™ for men’s Dirty Clean Shampoo and Body wash. I absolutely loved the smell and found myself sniffing the bottle for quite a while until my husband found me and made fun of me, although he seems to really like my new shampoo so it works both ways.

So to some up, both me and my husband approve of these products. Even if you don’t believe in their magical powers, you will love them for their amazing results.

I don’t know about you, but I love to use different scents during certain times of the year. In the summer I love to use smells that remind me of the beach, or fruity smells. It’s really hard to find these different smells in products that actually work, especially when you are already hooked on a specific product. Not only that, but if you are looking for a product without certain ingredients its even harder to find a new favorite.

I received 3 different products from Original sprout to review from their new Tahitian Collection: The Face and Body Sunscreen, The Island Bliss Shampoo, and The Luscious Island Conditioner.

I loved the shampoo and conditioner, they both smelled great, and worked very well with my hair. After using my hair was soft and shiny. I loved that the smell reminds me of a beach, and that they also help keep my hair color in place. As my regular readers know, I currently have pink hair so color keeping is a must.

My favorite product from the Tahitian line is the Face and Body Sunscreen. It doesn’t smell like normal sunscreen, it actually smells great. It is not greasy so you don’t even notice that its there. It won’t mess up your makeup and best of all it helps prevent acne. I hate using sunscreen on my face because the smell makes me sick, and most make my skin break out so I was very happy to have this sunscreen. Not only is it great for mommy, but it is great for the whole family as it is one of Original Sprouts Worry-Free products.

I love hot sauce! I love putting it on just about anything I can think of. I think one of my favorite foods is boneless buffalo chicken wings. I recently was able to try a really great hot sauce called Very Peri Sauce

Very Peri Sauce is a blend of Peri Peri peppers and a lemony blend. So not only do you get the heat, but you get an amazing citrus flavor as well. They have 3 different heat levels so you can get something that is not too hot for you, or if your a dare devil you can try their “Intenso” sauce. This sauce is great to add to your favorite recipes, or its great base to start a new recipe.

The recipe I used this sauce for is a great spicy grilled shrimp recipe.

Ingredients

• 1/3 cup olive oil
• 1/4 cup sesame oil
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
• 2 tablespoons Very Peri hot sauce
• 2 tablespoons minced garlic
• 1 tablespoon ketchup
• 1 tablespoon Asian Chile paste
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 3 tablespoons lemon juice
• 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 12 wooden skewers, soaked in water

One of my favorite snacks is granola. I love to add it to my cereal, my yogurt, or even eat it by itself for a quick snack. I was very happy when I received my box from Nature’s Path. Not only did it have plain granola, but had granola bars, cereal flakes plus granola, and plain cereal flakes.

My favorite product from Nature’s Path was the Honey Oat Crunch Granola Bars. They remind me a lot of the Nature Valley granola bars, but in my opinion are so much better. Not only are they softer, but they are not as dry as Nature Valley.

Nature’s Path’s products are USDA certified organic. They are grown without using synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, herbicides and Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). Not only are they healthy, but they taste great too.

I recommend these products to anyone looking for a healthy alternative to their normal snacks.

I am a part of a lot of different websites that give you items for free in exchange for a review. One of these sites is called Influenster. They offer a box that they call a “Vox Box” which is a box that has a couple different things based on some kind of theme. My first Vox Box had the theme “mom” so it had some things that a typical mom would like. One of the things included in this box was something called The Original Dish Drying Mat.

The one I received was an off white color. For me this was something very easy to review as I already had the same product but it was red. But I was very glad to have gotten a different color. The red one matches my kitchen perfectly but seems to show stains more, which is very odd to me.

Anyway, I love these mats. We don’t have a dishwasher so we have to wash everything by hand. I hate using my towels to dry dishes which never really works well. When I end up needing to use a towel to lay my dishes on the water ends up soaking through and getting all over the counter and sometimes even the floor. And drying each dish one by one is just a waste of time. Another thing we have tried to use is a drying rack that has a water catcher on the bottom, but if you leave the water in the bottom for to long it ends up getting really gross. After that happens you don’t want to use the drying rack any more because who knows what got soaked into the plastic.

One of my favorite parts about The Original Dish Drying Mat is that it not only absorbs a heck of a lot of water, but it can be washed in the washing machine. So it does the work of a drying rack, with the convenience of a towel. Not only that but in my personal experience, these mats are way cheaper then a good drying rack. They also can match any decor you may have, come in other colors, and protect your counter from scratches. I definitely think that everyone should have these mats in their kitchen!

What if you could turn your favorite photo into a 3D Photo Crystal? That’s what I did with my favorite photo of my oldest daughter.

I have always had an obsession with laser crystals, but never knew that you could have your own photo turned into a 3d picture inside of one. I’ve always wondered how it was possible to create one of these 3D crystals, and this review has given me that extra push to find out.

These crystals are made using a special laser that’s pulse makes a tiny void on a specific coordinate in the crystal. This void is what we see when we look closely at the 3D image inside the crystals. The laser makes as many little voids as it needs to complete the picture. I still can’t believe that the laser does this without making any marks or trails or anything visible while making these voids, but obviously it is possible.

Ever since my friend took this photo I have been trying to figure out a way to keep the memory forever in a nontraditional way. I definitely found it with this crystal. Out of all the products I have reviewed this crystal would honestly have to be my favorite. It is something that I can cherish forever.

Since I have had this crystal I have showed it off to anyone that is willing to look at it. I always get the same or a very similar response. The person looking at it will say how beautiful it is, and comment on how great it looks. Then a couple seconds later they say how perfect it is that it looks so much like my daughter. When I explain to them that it actually is my daughter they look at it again and stare at it for a couple seconds trying to figure out how it was done. Then I explain where I got it from, and I also explain to them the how simple the process for ordering a 3D crystal is. I am very happy that I get to brag about my crystal, and I’m even more happy that I get to look at it everyday. It brings a smile to my face every time I see it.

I would consider myself a Flat Iron junky! I love anything to do with straight hair. I have tried so many products that I couldn’t even begin to name half of them. Saying that I was excited when I was told I would be reviewing a Flat Iron from Flat Iron Experts would have been an understatement.

So I will give you a little history on some of the flat irons I have used. I have owned everything from the cheap flat irons, to the obnoxiously expensive flat irons. I will never forget how dry and horrible my hair used to be from the cheap flat iron with regular metal plates. Sure it had interchangeable plates for crimping and shining, but it did absolutely nothing to protect my hair. It took years for my hair to return to normal. I have also purchased a flat iron from one of the stands in the mall. You know, the ones that are around $500! I still can’t believe that I have spent that much money on something like that! But here’s the story part, I was only able to use my expensive flat iron once before someone broke into my car and stole my purse and my flat iron while I was at a friends house. I was completely devastated! After that I swore to myself that I would never pay that much for a beauty product again. Since then I have gone through a good 10 $30-$60 flat irons. All of them either didn’t get hot enough, didn’t do the things I wanted it to, died for no apparent reason, or it fried my hair. I can come up with a zillion different faults in any one of those straighteners. Like I said, I am a flat iron junky, I have had multiple flat irons at once just so that I could have all the different features I wanted. The straightener I currently have can do a lot of different things, but is starting to give out after only a couple months, and does not make my hair as straight as I would like it to.

I received the Corioliss Classic Pro Flat Iron in pink. I loved that the entire thing was pink, even the cord was pink. I don’t think I have ever seen a flat iron that had a matching cord other then black. Even the ceramic plates are pink. Another cool thing about the Corioliss is that it has a swivel cord, so you don’t have to flip it around every time you use it so that the cord doesn’t get wrapped around your hand.

So how does it work you ask? This flat iron would have to be the best one I have ever used. It heats up to 410°F in less then 30 seconds, so you don’t have to wait long to start using it after you plug it in. It has a PTC ceramic heater which makes it so that the plates not only heat up fast, but they will stay hot while using it. I hate it when I have to stop half way through styling to let my iron heat up again. It has a textured design so that it doesn’t slip out of your hands while in use. It also has Nano Silver technology that helps keep your hair clean when you straighten it.

I was also sent Flat Iron Experts flat iron holder, and Thermal Shine spray. The holder is amazing because I have a very small bathroom, and even smaller counter space. The only place I have to put things is the very small lip around my sink. This really helped because I can stick the holder on my bathroom mirror and it holds my flat iron up and out of the way, and keeps my husband from complaining about having too much stuff on the counter. I love having a specific place to put my flat iron, plus I don’t have to worry about burning the counter or any of my makeup that also sits on the counter.

I really loved the Thermal Shine spray. It made my hair look extremely healthy, and softer then I think its ever been! I will warn you that while applying the smell is very strong, but it goes away immediately. The results are way worth the smell. I have used so many different thermal sprays and they either leave my hair sticky, or they make it harder for my hair to be straightened. This spray made it to where instead of having to use my flat iron twice on each strand of hair, I only had to run the flat iron through once. My hair is more straight then it has every been! I am so happy with my new products! I highly recommend them to anyone who straightens their hair.

One of my goals for this blog is to find not only a great flat iron, which I finally have done, but to find a mini flat iron, and a wet to dry flat iron as well. Hopefully I will be able to find some to review for you guys very soon, so keep an eye out!

I have always been mesmerized by things that change colors. Whether it be nail polish, some form of paint, or even the barbies that have color changing clothes or hair. I’ve always wondered how they could change colors from being exposed to things as simple as sun and water. This review has inspired me to learn a little bit more about how these products change colors, I will share some of my findings at the end of the review.

First up on the list of things I was able to review from Del Sol is this adorable t-shirt. I love the bright color, and love the fact that the design changes when I go out to the sun. Before this shirt I have never seen a color changing shirt anywhere. This shirt doesn’t seem like its going to fall apart any time soon either, which is something that I am always worried about when it comes to shirts. I swear the more expensive shirts are, the faster they fall apart. This shirt is so cute, and I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on the design, and when I explained to them that it actually changes colors too they refused to believe me until I proved it to them. If your someone who wants to be the center of attention, I highly suggest getting a color changing shirt from Del Sol.

This next product is color changing nail polish. I know I have seen a lot of color changing nail polish, but when I look for a color that I like, I can never find anything. If I do find a color I like it doesn’t actually work. It drives me insane because I would love to be able to change the color of my nail polish without having to completely re-do my nails. Another great thing about this nail polish is that most of everything I wear is either pink or purple. So no matter what I wear this nail polish will match it. I love it.

Last, but most definitely not least, is my new favorite pair of color changing sunglasses. And I promise you that they are not just my new favorite sunglasses because they are purple. Okay, that has a lot to do with it, but they really are great! I love that indoors they are a pearl white color, that way if I am somewhere that I need to not be so flashy I can wear them and not feel out of place. If I am feeling flashy, or I am at the lake or the beach, I can have my purple sunglasses on. I love the way they look and feel, and I love how cute they are. They not only fit me, but they fit my personality too.

At the beginning of the review I said I would share a little about how color changing products are possible, so here it goes. Del Sol uses what they call Spectrachrome® Technology, which is basically the use of crystals that change their color when exposed to sunlight. Technically the product itself does not change color but becomes visibly to the human eye when it comes in contact with sunlight. How cool is that? Del Sol currently has more then 300 colors that they use now, while they are working on adding colors from the group of over 6,000 different colors to their product lines.

So how many times do you get to say you washed your soap with a bunch of nuts? Okay, I still don’t really say that, but I can say that I wash my clothes with Eco Nuts Laundry Soap. So I’m sure by now that your trying to figure out what the heck I’m talking about, right?

One major problem that I have with my skin is that I have acne. I have tried so many products to try to get rid of it, but nothing ever seems to help. Why I decided to try acid to get rid of it, I have no idea, but I do know one thing. I am very excited to do this review for you guys.

I got a Salicylic Acid 20 Peel from Natural Skin Shop to review for you guys. This product is meant not only to help reduce your acne, but to also reduces oil, and cleanses your pores. I may have gotten the 20 peel, but I really should have gotten the 10 peel. While I may not have had any bad side effects, you should still get a 10 peel if you are a beginner.

My Experience:

I was very paranoid after hearing some horror stories about people burning their face by leaving it on too long, or grabbing the acid a second time instead of the neutralizer. So when I went to use my I made a game plan before even starting. I lined everything up on the counter so that I knew where each one was and when I was done with each bottle I would put it aside so that I would not grab it again.

After washing my face, I applied the pre-peel solution. It did sting a little, but nothing more then any other acne cleansing wipes I have used. So I was finally ready to use the acid. I was very nervous for this part, in fact I was too nervous. I ended up freaking out as soon as the peel started to burn, and applied the neutralizer after barely 60 seconds. After hearing all the bad stuff I figured I had just done something wrong. The only thing wrong was that I had gotten the wrong strength, which was totally my own fault. After noticing that I had taken it off after about a minute I felt stupid, and thought about re-applying. Luckily I didn’t.

After the 4th day I noticed some peeling on my nose and in between my eyes. After that went away I didn’t notice any other changes. I yet again almost reapplied until I did a little more research and decided to hold off for a while. The next weekend I rubbed my forehead and it all peeled at once. Yuck! But my skin feels so much better, and it looks a lot better too. I have noticed a very significant change in my acne, and the overall quality of my skin.

I cannot wait to try it again, but obviously I’m going to wait a while. Like I’ve said before if you have never used a skin peel before you should start off at the lightest peel. Also make sure to not be too nervous about it, but proceed with caution so that you don’t end up doing any damage to your skin.
