I will admit, I have not been as excited as I was when I was told I was getting to do a Jellyfish Art Review! What is Jellyfish Art? It is an amazing company that not only sells Jellyfish, but also sells Jellyfish Tanks.
About Jellyfish Art
Jellyfish are becoming the next trend in ornamental aquariums and Jellyfish Art is the leader in supplying live jellyfish and their specialized aquariums and products. Their mesmerizing forms and soothing movement create living works of art. Jellyfish aquariums are a new kind of interior decoration, sources of light and life that become the focal point of any space.
What we thought
We received Jellyfish Art’s 1 Jelly kit to review! I knew immediately that this would be a great addition to our house. I have been wanting fish for a couple years but never had the chance to get everything together since my Angel fish died. I had my Angel for about 5 years (yes I know that’s a long time!) before he died and never had the time to set up a new fish. Not only was I excited about getting a new fish, but I was stoked about this tank!
You can buy the tank by itself, or as a kit. When I first learned about this tank I thought it would be a lot smaller. I remember having a 5 gallon tank and I always hated how small it was. The way that this tank is designed makes it look a lot bigger and looks great with any decor. When we first set it up both our girls stared at it for at least an hour! That’s without having fish in it! It truly is an amazing thing to look at!
The 1 jelly kit does not come with the salt water mix, so we had to go out and find some. It was not as hard as I thought it would be to make the salt water! It was actually very easy! The one thing I would suggest is to make sure that you tighten the fixture at the bottom of the tank that connects to the air pump. We forgot to and it started leaking the next day, but it stopped after we tightened it, so it was our own fault. After we got the tank all set up we ordered our Jellyfish and could not wait for it to get here!
Our Jellyfish got here 2 days later and I was very surprised at how well he was packaged, they made sure that he was nice and comfy in his box and that he wouldn’t move too much when shipping. Thankfully Jellyfish Art sends you live rock with the jellyfish to make sure that they can be acclimated to the tank properly. Instead of waiting weeks for the tank to be ready we only had to wait about 3 days including the time we waited for our fishy to arrive.
I absolutely love our Jellyfish and his tank! Not only does the tank itself change colors with the LED bulb, but the jellyfish changes colors with it! I constantly catch myself and my husband just staring at it. Everyone that sees him also freaks out! Most people I show, or talk to have never seen anything like it and all want one! Once we got him acclimated I told my oldest daughter that we were going to name him Squishy, she got upset and told me that she was going to call him Tag. We decided to change the name to Tag because this is the first pet she has named! We have tried multiple times to get her to name a pet and she refused until she saw Tag. I was a very proud mommy, but the name does fit him.
Jellyfish art not only sells these products, but they offer all the information you need to keep your jelly happy and healthy! I cannot tell you the number of times I have gone onto their site to find answers to all my questions! They really are a great company and I think everyone should own their own Jellyfish tank! They are definitely worth every penny! You can find Jellyfish Art and their great products here.
**Disclaimer** I was in no way paid, or obligated to give a positive review, or a review at all for this company. If you would like to read my full disclaimer for reviews you can find it here.
that is just too freaking cool my hubby would love this! great review!
OMG that is so neat!!! Cool pictures, too! I can totally imagine sitting and watching this tank!
Well that is very cool and Tag is a great name. We don’t have pets, so I have been thinking about getting an aquariumm, but never though of jellyfish. It will look great on my stand behind my couch.

Wow that is amazing I could imagine spending hours just watching a jelly fish I have never heard of them being pets before I have to admit. Do you have to clean them out often and what do you feed them? xx

Jellyfish Art sells specially made food for him, but he can also be fed live just hatched brine shrimp from what I understand. You have to chance 25% of the water once a week but it’s not too bad and I haven’t had any algae issues with the tank which is nice compared to other tanks I have owned
Now that’s different. Very cool!
I’ve seen jelly fish at the aquarium but I didn’t know you could keep them in a fish tank! I wonder how long they will live? Are they salt water or fresh water?

I have only had mine a little while, but they say about a year. He is also a salt water fish. Definitely worth having him though!
That is so cool! My kids would love to have a jellyfish like this. I would easily get distracted and just watch it all the time.

Who knew that you could buy a jelly fish as a pet? They are beautiful (from a distance!) but would certainly make a unique pet.

I would love to have one. I am just curious how you clean the tank without getting stung.

I haven’t been stung yet! lol From what I understand these Jellyfish rarely sting and if they do it doesn’t really hurt. So that’s good
I would love a jellyfish tank with jellyfish inside. Who would have ever thought. We are all so use to goldfish or other types of fish like that. How unique!

Wow, that might be one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while. Jellyfish aquarium?? Too cool – and I would have wanted to name him Squishy too, lol.

I grew up on the coast and jellyfish were not pets or friends. I wonder how they got the idea to do this. I think it is cool. They are fascinating to watch and I can see my cats being glued to the tank.

I would love to have a jellyfish aquarium. This is definitely a new thing because my parents always had beautiful and large aquariums in our home when we were growing up but I never remember having a jellyfish in them. I think they are beautiful and will be looking into getting one.

Wow. I have never heard of anything like this…Im not quite sure what to think! What do they eat??
How are your jellyfish? I had this tank for a week and sadly, my Jelly did not last after the water change.
He lasted a couple months and then sadly died, or well disappeared. I think one of my children got into the tank. lol Did you check your saline levels? I know it was very hard to keep up with the salt water and keep the tank clean. I have heard that the cheaper brands of salt additive don’t agree well with the fish either.
