I am one of those people that constantly looks over their shoulders in fear of someone following me. Since having my girls that fear has become a lot worse. With the way people are nowadays, you can’t trust anyone let alone a random person walking next to you on the street. I’m always afraid that I’m going to end up like one of the helpless girls on the street and if anything happened I won’t be able to scream and no one will be able to hear me. I know, its stupid to be so paranoid all the time, but that’s just who I am.
Luckily for me and others like me ila Security came up with some devices to help put our mind at ease while we are out. I received two different products from ila that will be included in this post. One is the ila Dusk, and the other is the ila Pebble.
Above is the ila Dusk. It can be placed on just about anything you carry on you. Personally, I like to keep it on my purse so that it is always with me. Before you think this is just some fashion accessory, think again. When you pull the chain it lets out a ear-piercing 130Db female scream that will not only let everyone around know that something is wrong but it may also disable your attacker. They have different designs to match your own personal style and they change seasonally so that you can have one for every mood.
My favorite of the two products is the ila Pebble. It looks just like a regular keyring that might sound the alarm to your car, but it does so much more then that! This little thing is just like the Dusk but is less noticeable, and easier to carry with you because it attaches to your key chain! I love that i don’t have to stress about keeping my purse right next to me, and I don’t have to worry about someone wondering what it is.
One thing I have noticed is that I will sit there and fiddle with it and my mind automatically wants to pull it and make it go off. Which could be really bad depending on where I am, so I hope I never accidentally pull it.
Just to see how loud it was, and of course to see someones reaction to it, I pulled it at my dads house and watched him stare at the ceiling and look around trying to figure out what was going on. When I finally showed him what was making all the noise he was not too happy with me, but at least I got a couple laughs out of it.
I think that every girl should have one of ila’s products around. I know that when my girls get older they will definitely be getting one of these and I think they would make great gifts too.
